First of all what is Aloe Vera??
Aloe vera, also known as the true aloe or medicinal aloe, is a species of succulent plant in the genus Aloe that is believed to have originated in the Sudan. Aloe vera grows in arid climates and is widely distributed in Africa, India, Nepal and other arid areas. There is some preliminary evidence that Aloe vera extracts may be useful in the treatment of wound and burn healing, minor skin infections, sebaceous cysts, diabetes, and elevated blood lipids in humans. These positive effects are thought to be due to the presence of compounds such as, mannans, polysaccharides, anthraquinone, and lectins.
Aloe vera juice is known to help to detoxify the body and cleanse the colon. The properties of the juice also help to detoxify the blood stream. It is also said that aloe vera juice could benefit a person with intestinal or stomach problems. It could aid in the healing of ulcers and help the digestive tract to work smoothly. It is also said that aloe vera juice can improve circulation. The aloe helps dilate the capillaries and aid in cell growth. Aloe vera juice also has many benefits that aloe vera gel does. It acts as an antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal agent, preventing illness. The overall effect of taking aloe vera juice regularly can be a feeling of energy and health.
Ok, so what am I saying?? I have tested the theories myself. All of the skin care products I use are Aloe Vera Based. I have been drinking Aloe Vera juice every day for the past 2 months. I have personally experienced change in my skin, the radiance and glow is phenomenal! Not only that, but from digesting it internally I have noticed a major spike in my energy level.I am a firm believer that Aloe Vera is a MIRACLE plant.
Some other useful ways Aloe Vera Juice can be used:
1. I slather it on damp skin right after stepping out of the shower. It’s my first protective layer to hold in the moisture, then I follow with a more moisturizing lotion or sunless tanner.
2. I keep a spare bottle in a tote when I go to the beach or pool to apply after a swim and sunblock. The cooling effect is immediate!
3. Use it as an after sun treatment on myself.
