For the Residue Ridden Hair: Baking soda breaks through product build up. Mix 1 to 2 tbsp. of baking soda with water until a thick paste forms. Apply to hair and let sit for 15, then shampoo hair. This treatment can be done every 2 weeks.
For oily or Greasy Hair: This is my fav! A DIY dry shampoo. Put cornmeal or corn starch into an empty salt or pepper shaker and sprinkle 1 tbsp amount onto dry hair and scalp. Allow to sit for 10 min then use a brush to comb out. This can be done every other day.
For Dehydrated Hair: This is a perfect post summer time hair remedy. Swimming in chlorinated pools, sea salted oceans, and the sun can really do a number on our tresses. Honey is a natural humectant which locks in moisture.Massage 1/2 cup honey into clean damp hair. Let sit for 20 min, then rinse with warm water.
For Dull Lifeless Hair: Overuse of hair product and pollutants can really do a whammy on your hair. Both leave build up that dulls hair. Greek yogurt contains lactic acid which exfoliate and stripes the build up from your hair. Sour cream-due to the fat adds moisture. You can combine the 2 together for an ultra hair treatment by mixing equal parts (1/3 cup) together, massage into hair, allow to set 20 min, rinse with warm water & shampoo as you normally would. Or you can use each separately to target your hair needs/desires.
